I took some pictures for a dear friend of mine who was my roommate at Utah State. Her and her husband are celebrating their anniversary and they are soon to be parents of a baby boy! I am still learning, so not all of the pictures turned out super amazing but here are a few of my favorites that I hope turned out pretty good.

First Family Shoot

I did my first family shoot the other day. I wouldn't say I did a super job but I did learn some things from doing it, so the practise was a good thing. That is why I don't charge anything I guess.

Anyhow, these are the neighbors that get to share a wall with us (the joys of a twin home). They are the greatest neighbors you could ask for!

Photo Class

Yesterday I was able to go to another one night photo class. This is the second class that I have taken from Marcie Jessee, who is a really great photographer, not to mention a really nice lady! She had a cute little model there and as she would teach things about taking pictures, she would actually take pictures. We all had our cameras and could practice taking pictures with our own cameras as well. It was a lot of fun and I got some good practice in. The only bummer is that there were several people taking pictures and so quite often she wasn't looking at my camera when I took a pictures. Oh well. It was just practice. Here are some of my favorites that I took (Marcie posed the model and I just snapped the shot...so I can't take too much credit for these pictures. But I did take them...)

A few weeks ago a friend of mine let me take some pictures of her little girl. I had a blast taking pictures of a little girl! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my little guy but it was fun to have hair bows and dresses for a change :) She is such a doll and I had such a good time capturing these moments!

I took my little guy into a "professional" place get pictures taken when he was 2 months old. I had one of those coupons for a "free" picture (of course we were talked into getting more). I have to say I was very displeased with how they turned out. The lady did next to nothing to get the little guy to laugh and I had a hard time just standing in the back ground and not pushing her aside to take over...So we got our pictures and I decided never again. I take the pictures now. I had a great time taking these family pictures. I think out of about 100 pictures we got 2 or 3 that I really liked :)

I have never enjoyed photography as much as I am now...maybe that is because I have an adorable little guys that will let me take pictures of him to my heart’s content...maybe it's because I have finally been able to get a nicer camera...maybe it's because I found a cool FREE editing program to use...whatever the reason I am sure enjoying myself!
